Hi, I’m Melissa!

I’m a wedding photographer who loves quietly observing your day with a big smile on my face. My goal? To capture all the laughter, happy tears, and little moments that make your wedding uniquely yours—without ever feeling intrusive or over-the-top.

My style blends a love for timeless, film-inspired imagery with a documentary approach, so your photos feel honest, natural, and effortlessly beautiful. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but most of the day I’m happily in the background, capturing your story as it unfolds.

Think of me as your friendly bestie with a camera: calm, cheerful, and always noticing the moments that make your day special. By the end of it, I’ll probably know your family, your friends, and maybe even your dog (I promise, I’m very good at making new furry friends).

As your photographer, my intention is to capture your day in a way that feels timeless, effortless, editorial and full of the true emotions of your day, giving you a collection of beautiful imagery to look back on for years to come.

I approach your wedding with a documentary and editorial eye—photographing natural moments as they unfold while gently guiding you through portraits to ensure every image is beautifully composed. From the excited and nervous moments before the ceremony to the joy of your first dance, I aim to capture authentic moments of you as a couple, celebrating with your family and friends.

You’ve planned your perfect day —and I want to retell that story through imagery, creating a gallery of photographs that feels both personal and artistic, capturing the authentic moments of your wedding day.

  • My photography combines documentary or story telling moments with artfully captured and gently posed moments. On a typical wedding day, I arrive (a little early) to capture details of shoes, the dress, the flowers, perfume and any other details. While I am styling these, I often get to know your bridal party and have a little chat with everyone getting ready.

    Once I capture the details, I photograph moments as they unfold during hair and makeup and funny moments between your bridal party. I try to capture all these moments in a storytelling manner that is true to my more editorial style. All these moments capture authentic emotion and are natural and unposed as they happen. This approach continues throughout the day through the ceremony, speeches and guests mingling with you.

    I do also will take you away from your guests to capture some gently posed, more editorial style portraits highlighting you as a couple and the connection between you. Once you head back to your guests, I will continue to document meaningful moments and connections amongst people giving you beautiful images to cherish for years to come.

  • My packages include travel from my home in Sitges, Spain. I am also available for weddings throughout Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and destinations across Canada and Europe. Please note that additional travel and accommodation fees may apply for weddings in Canada, which can be discussed during our consultation.

  • I feel most inspired by Fuji400h film, timeless fine art imagery and storytelling. I adore watching a wedding day unfold and also love documenting these images creating a mixture of artistically crafted images with a journalistic twist.

    When it comes to portraits, I will softly guide you through natural and organic poses that create portraits that feel natural to you.

  • As a lover of light, I love capturing photos with light glowing behind them. However, though my images are light filled and often described as soft and glowy, I wouldn’t necessarily describe myself as light and airy as I do love a little contrast. I show the images authentic to how they are captured and will always capture those images that tell the story of your day.

  • I am happy to cover any location in Barcelona including Sitges. Please contact me further to discuss your wedding coverage.

  • This is a great question and something we will address in our initial call. For a traditional wedding - most coverage is around 8 hours or more which covers the end of getting ready until the first dance. This means your timeline should reflect this coverage to make the most out of your wedding photography.

  • A second photographer is great investment as they capture those extra moments. I highly recommend a second photographer for any weddings larger than 100. This is something that can be added to your package and that we can discuss further when we meet to chat about your big day!

  • An engagement session is a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to have some great photos and memories from before your big day.

  • Yes, in fact there are photos on this page captured on film. There is something so nostalgic and beautiful about film that really takes me back to my 8 year old self with my point and shoot film camera. If you would like to add film to your package, please let me know!
